The lake of Bin El Ouidane is a dammed hydro electric supply reservoir, situated in the middle of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains.
Catching carp on a lake of approx. 3000 to 5000 ha (depending on the water level) in unknown stunning surroundings, yes it’s possible!
The fish population consists mainly out of carp, pike-perch and black bass.
(No bream in the lake).
You’ll find there all sorts of carp, in great diversity.
Approx. 90% of the carp consists out of commons and approx. 10% consists out of mirror, linear, leather and full scaled carps.
The average weight of the carp caught is approx. 12 kg.
The biggest common carp, up to now, weighted 27.6 kg (60 Lbs 8)), and was caught by Tim Roski from Germany, in March 2007.
The biggest mirror carp, up to now, weighted 31.5 kg (69 Lbs 4), and was caught by a member of a Dutch Team, consisting out of Peter Van Loon, Charith Pathiranage, Henry Van Es en Gilbert Grein, in March 2009.
